81-year-old music camp still influences young musicians

Foster campers honing their art

EKU's Foster Music Camp recently concluded its 81st year on July 2nd, 2016.  Since its inception, the camp has influenced over 40,000 young musicians and is the nation's second oldest music camp and longest consecutive operational camp.  

Founded in the midst of the Great Depression, the Foster Camps--with numerous camp options throughout June for middle school and high school students--continue to draw young musicians from throughout the nation and even internationally.

Lindsay Riley graduated from EKU in 2010 with a BFA in printmaking and returned to EKU to complete her Masters in Art Teaching in 2013.
