EKU Latino Heritage Month 2017

Eastern Kentucky University Department of Languages, Cultures, & Humanities teams up with University and regional community leaders to recognize and celebrate the Latino culture that is integral to our everyday life.

This celebration will begin on September 15th and end on October 15th!

Scheduled Events include:

Thursday, September 14, 2017: Latino Student Association Open House, Middle Powell, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Wednesday, September 27, 2017: Latino Read In, Middle Powell, 10:00 am -12:30 pm.

Thursday, September 28, 2017: Chautauqua Series, Julissa Arce: "The American DREAMer: From Undocumented to Wall Street & Immigration Advocacy", O'Donnell Auditorium, 7:30 pm.

Wednesday, October 4, 2017: Latino Street Fair, Powell Corner, 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Wednesday, October 11, 2017: Strategies for Success: Real Talk with the Regents, TBA, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

Wednesday, October 18, 2017: Inauguration of Bobby Verdugo Bilingual Peer Mentor and Tutoring Center, McCreary Hall
