CLASS 2019 Commencement Ceremony

The CLASS commencement ceremony will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 9:00 am. This is a combined ceremony with the College of Justice and Safety. Please arrive at Alumni Coliseum between 7:30 and 8:00 am. You will check in at the Fred Darling Auxiliary Gym (inside Alumni Coliseum, to the right). Here you will be given a name card. This card will be used by the commencement reader to call your name and major as you walk across stage. DO NOT LOSE THIS CARD. Once you have checked in, you will line up with CLASS. Faculty members and staff will be present to assist you. Space is limited in the auxiliary gym, so parents and guests will not be permitted. They may take their seat inside the arena/gym. Seating is on a first-come/first-serve basis, and tickets are not required for guests. Lines will be closed and ready to start the processional at 8:45, and we will begin seating promptly at 9:00. If you need special accommodations for moving downstairs, seating, or crossing the stage during the ceremony, please let me know. You may return to the Fred Darling Auxiliary Gym at the conclusion of the ceremony. There will be a meet and greet, and photo opportunities for your friends, family, and professors.

Accessible parking for commencement ceremonies includes the Maddox and Whitlock lots, which are to the left of Alumni Coliseum (near the water tower) and are designated as the nearest accessible parking to the accessible entrance into the Coliseum. Individuals with physical disabilities can be dropped off at the accessible entrance (side door AC entrance). Overflow accessible parking is nearby in the Mattox lot. The accessible entrance will lead visitors to two designated areas for accessible seating. First, individuals with disabilities and their families can take the elevator (inside the AC entrance) to the upper arena and be seated in sections 106 or 112. Secondly, individuals with disabilities may be accompanied by one family member to be seated on the commencement floor. EKU staff will be present to assist. A portion of section 102 will be reserved for those seeking interpreting services.

Family members and friends who are unable to attend EKU's Commencement may view the ceremony via the Internet. A link to the live stream will be available at www.eku.edu on the day of Commencement.

Professional photography will be provided. Candidates will be photographed walking across the stage. Proofs and information from the Photographer will be sent to the student's EKU email address approximately one week following the ceremony.
