Bio

Glenda McCoy came to EKU in the Spring of 2020 as an Administrative Coordinator for the Department of History, Philosophy, and Religious Studies and now serves as Academic Program Coordinator in the Office of the Associate Dean for the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences. Prior to that, Glenda served the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a staffer in the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and as Project Manager for the Kentucky Commission on Women, Office of the Governor, and Co-Founder and Executive Director of the 501(c)(3) rare disease nonprofit NUBPL Foundation, Inc. In 2021, she was appointed by Governor Beshear to serve as Vice Chair of the Kentucky Rare Disease Advisory Council. Glenda received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Kentucky and a master’s degree in International Relations from the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at UK. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, gardening, tennis, and spending time with her family.
